The Industrial Grit Behind the Las Vegas Glitz

Ever wondered how those drink guns at bars seem to be able to pull up just about any spirit on demand, as if by magic? At Vegas' megaresorts, this trick often involves entire rooms filled with bottles of booze, hooked up to massive drink dispensing machines sold by a company called Easybar (this one is at the Bellagio resort). The drink guns are preprogrammed with the most popular drinks. When a bartender at any of the casino bars presses the proper button (example: Bloody Mary), the drink's ingredients travel from the bottle, through the guts of the casino, up to the drink gun. Total distance a drink travels from bottle to glass at some of the larger resorts: 1000 feet or more.
